In partnership with

A few weeks ago, someone sat across from me.

They opened their account… refreshed it once… then again… and just stared at the screen.

Finally they said,
“I feel like I’m supposed to be doing something right now.”

Not because anything in their life had changed.
Not because their plan was broken.

But because everything around them was moving… fast.

Stocks dropped as oil surged. Then, just as quickly, markets bounced back to new highs. And now? Uncertainty is creeping back in again.

All of that… in just a matter of weeks.

That kind of movement creates a very specific kind of pressure.

Not panic.
Not fear.

More like a quiet voice saying:
“Don’t just sit there. Do something.”

But here’s what I told them.

That feeling isn’t coming from your plan.
It’s coming from the movement itself.

So instead of asking:
“What should I be doing right now?”

Try asking a better question:
“What has actually changed for me?”

  • Has your timeline shifted?

  • Have your goals changed?

  • Has anything in your plan truly broken?

Because if the answer is “no”…

Then reacting to short-term movement can slowly pull you off course.
